Yesterday, MEGADETH announced that they will be supporting FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH on their upcoming U.S. tour this summer and fall.

MEGADETH was already scheduled to play Rock In Rio festival on September 2nd, alongside IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER and SEPULTURA in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but due to scheduling conflict with FFDP tour, MEGADETH‘s appearance is now cancelled.

After some fans express their disappointment, MEGADETH guitarist Kiko Loureiro wrote on one of his Instagram stories (via Whiplash): “Like everyone who bought the ticket, I was also very upset about this cancellation. RiR was the reason I played guitar. In ’91, I watched Megadeth from the audience… It would be an honor to play on the Mundo Stage. See you soon. Saudades do Brasil”, reads the text.
