You may interpret the old saying in the title the way you want, but do you not agree that life has its ironies?
Poison’s Brett Michaels was the real ladies’ man when he was young and his band was in the top. Now his older daughter Raine is a bikini model. Most fathers would be real worried about that, but Michaels says it’s okay “As a dad, I’m proud, but there’s bittersweetness involved, because it’s your daughter doing bikini [modeling],” Michaels admitted to Yahoo Entertainment. “It’s a bittersweet thing. I just look at it like this: I think she will be classy, it’ll be awesome and I’m proud.”
But he adds that “When I was living in it, you don’t think of it as dangerous. You’re thinking, ‘This is fun! This is awesome! It’s great!’” Michaels recalled of his rock-star-lifestyle days. “But when you look back as a dad, and this is your comeuppance coming full circle, right?”
His daughter Raine, who is 18 years-old, was named a Top 6 finalist in Sports Illustrated’s 2019 swimsuit model search competition, revealed that appearing in the magazine would fulfill a lifelong dream as she declared to Fox News that “Sports Illustrated has been one of my goals since I was probably 13 years old.” She added “I’ve always wanted to be a part of Sports Illustrated. I loved the magazine. Kate Upton is one of my biggest role models in life. I’ve always loved that they really want to show that it’s all about inner beauty that shines.”
He claims on Instagram to be really proud of her, but is that so?
I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
