On Monday morning (February 27), the internet went wild over Lizzo‘s spontaneous performance of RAMMSTEIN‘s hit song “Du Hast.” Melissa Viviane Jefferson, known in the music industry as Lizzo, sang an a cappella version of the 1997 anthem from the German industrial metal band’s Sehnsucht album while she was in Hamburg.
Demonstrating that her unusual tribute to the German legends was not just a fluke, Lizzo went even further during her performance at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin last night (February 28), covering the song in its entirety, with her live band providing her with a more robust musical accompaniment.
