HALESTORM frontwoman Lzzy Hale has shared a cover of LINKIN PARK‘s “Crawling.” She posted a video of her piano-driven rendition on Instagram on Wednesday (August 28), coinciding with the conclusion of LINKIN PARK‘s mysterious 100-hour countdown.

Linkin Park teased a major announcement last week by launching a 100-hour countdown timer on their website and social media. The timer was also shared on the Welcome to Rockville Instagram, sparking rumors that surviving members of the band might perform at next year’s festival.

To build anticipation, LINKIN PARK has revealed that they will be hosting a special event on September 5th. Additionally, members of Linkin Park Underground (LPU), the official LINKIN PARK fan club, have reportedly received emails about an event in Los Angeles scheduled for the same day as the previously mentioned announcement. This exclusive event is open only to LPU members, with tickets being randomly distributed. The event is expected to occur between 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. local time.

Speculation about a LINKIN PARK reunion gained momentum in April after Jay Gordon, the lead singer of ORGY and a former collaborator with the band, mentioned in an interview that they would return with a female vocalist replacing Chester Bennington.

Although Gordon later retracted his statement, the rumors were further fueled by a Billboard report the following month, which claimed that LINKIN PARK is planning a 2025 tour and festival appearances. An anonymous source told the publication that a woman would take on the role of lead singer. Amy Lee, the frontwoman of EVANESCENCE, has previously denied being the vocalist in question.
