Malevolent Creation – The 13th Beast

Malevolent creation the 13th beast One of the reasons critics, poppers, and fashion lovers hate Metal is because we don’t forsake our idols. We don’t leave them out in the cold to die slowly. Unless, of course, if they had betrayed us as some bands did – I swear I won’t say names. In case you don’t know, we’re grateful for the bands we have and we show our appreciation any show we are in. We don’t care about trends, new styles, or whatever. That’s our law. Every time a veteran band release an effort, or every time a new band release their debuts, it means Metal is alive and stronger. As it’s written on Iron Maiden’s “Live after Death” “What is not dead Which can eternal lie Yet with strange aeons Even death may die.” By H. P. Lovecraft.

Here we have one of the pioneers of Death Metal. An alive legend: Malevolent Creation with “The 13th Beast.” Each time a veteran band release a new effort we praise it as to honor our past and our present at the same time. New efforts keep the flame alive no matter what. And Malevolent Creation are back alive and kicking, specially screaming. It’s so great to see that the masters haven’t lost their magic. An album full of guitar breaks, blast beats, angry and harsh vocals, layers of guitars, and prominent basses. All of what the fan wants better. It’ s in tracks like “Knife at Hand” that Malevolent Creation show everything they got. Besides the carnage from head to toe, all the breaks inside the song recreate that interesting atmosphere only Death Metal bands  know how to.

“The 13th Beast” is an album to be praised. It’s authentic Death Metal to the love of fans and the hate of haters. It doesn’t matter, Malevolent Creation aren’t here to make friends. If I had to pick only one track, I’d say “End the Torture” for its epic and grand opening which says straight ahead what Malevolent Creation are here for. It is a great reminder of how sick and twisted a band can be with overlapping guitar solos and tortuous vocals.

Malevolent Creation’s “The 13th Beast” will be released on January 18th via Century Media Records.
