MEGADETH is gearing up for one of the most significant releases of their legendary career. The band has just shared a teaser for their upcoming single, “I Don’t Care,” which will make its full online debut on Friday, November 14. The track is the second single lifted from their upcoming self-titled album, Megadeth, arriving January 23, 2026, via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint under Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label.

The album marks a historic moment for the thrash metal pioneers — not only as the follow-up to 2022’s The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! but also as MEGADETH’s final studio release. Mustaine himself confirmed earlier this year that the band will retire following a global farewell tour, choosing to end on a high note after decades of defining and reshaping the metal genre.

“There’s so many musicians that have come to the end of their career, whether accidental or intentional. Most of them don’t get to go out on their own terms on top and that’s where I’m at in my life right now,” Mustaine explained when he announced the farewell. “This is also a perfect time for us to tell you that it’s our last studio album. We’ve made a lot of friends over the years and I hope to see all of you on our global farewell tour,” he continued. “Don’t be mad, don’t be sad, be happy for us all, come celebrate with me these next few years. We have done something together that’s truly wonderful and will probably never happen again.”

The upcoming album will feature 11 tracks, including standout titles such as “Tipping Point,” “Hey, God?!,” “Let There Be Shred,” and “I Am War.” Fans were also stunned to learn that the bonus edition will include an unexpected cover of METALLICA’s “Ride the Lightning.”

Full track listing:

  1. Tipping Point
  2. I Don’t Care
  3. Hey, God?!
  4. Let There Be Shred

The trek will bring the band to some of their most loyal territories, including Bogota, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Santiago, and a string of arena shows across Mexico.
