MEGADETH‘s Dave Mustaine and Kiko Loureiro have both shared video footage from the rehearsal sessions for the band’s upcoming “The Metal Tour Of The Year” with LAMB OF GOD.
Loureiro captioned his clip: “Rehearsal sneak peek. @megadeth Vídeo is shaking due to the loud music”, while Mustaine wrote: “I’m learning a solo… #Rehearsals #Megadeth #newalbum.”
MEGADETH announced that joining them to take care of bass duties for upcoming “The Metal Tour Of The Year” tour will be former MEGADETH member James LoMenzo.
LoMenzo was previously member of MEGADETH from 2006 to 2010 and appeared on two of the group’s studio albums, 2007’s United Abominations and 2009’s Endgame.
As previously reported, MEGADETH longtime bassist David Ellefson was fired from the group last month after sexually tinged messages and explicit video footage involving the 56-year-old musician leaked.
MEGADETH‘s “The Metal Tour Of The Year” with LAMB OF GOD is scheduled to kick off on Friday, August 20 in Austin, Texas and hit a further 26 cities before wrapping in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada on Saturday, October 2. Joining them will be special guests TRIVIUM and IN FLAMES, heralding the long-awaited return to the stage for these bands, who are every bit as excited about these historic and not-to-be-missed shows as fans are.
