MEGADETH has unleashed “I Don’t Care,” the second single from their upcoming and final studio album, Megadeth, set to arrive January 23, 2026 via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint under Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label.

The track follows the band’s earlier single “Tipping Point” and continues to build anticipation for what will be a historic release. Not only does the self-titled album serve as the long-awaited follow-up to 2022’s The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! — it also marks the last chapter in MEGADETH’s storied career. Mustaine previously confirmed that the band will retire after completing a global farewell tour, choosing to close their four-decade legacy on their own terms.

Megadeth will feature 11 tracks, including “Hey, God?!,” “Let There Be Shred,” and “I Am War,” along with a surprising bonus track: a cover of METALLICA’s classic “Ride the Lightning,” a move that has already sparked major excitement among fans.

Full track listing:

  1. Tipping Point
  2. I Don’t Care
  3. Hey, God?!
  4. Let There Be Shred
  5. Puppet Parade
  6. Another Bad Day
  7. Made To Kill
  8. Obey The Call
  9. I Am War
  10. The Last Note
  11. Ride The Lightning (METALLICA cover; bonus track)

To coincide with the release of their final album, MEGADETH will launch a South American farewell tour beginning April 23 in Lima, Peru. The trek will take the band through several of their strongest markets — including Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and an arena run across Mexico.

MEGADETH 2026 South American Farewell Tour Dates:

April 23 – Lima, Peru – Costa 21
April 26 – Bogota, Colombia – Movistar Arena
April 30 – Buenos Aires, Argentina – TBA

While Megadeth marks the end of the band’s studio journey, the road ahead will still be long — at least for now. In a recent interview with U.K.’s Kerrang! magazine, Mustaine revealed just how long fans can expect the final touring cycle to last. “We’re easily talking about touring for another three to five years,” he said.

Mustaine also reflected on the passing years, acknowledging that he’ll be nearing a major personal milestone by the time the farewell run is complete. “If we’re going to be doing it for that long then, s**t, I’ll be looking at the birthday I don’t even want to think about,” he added.
