MEGADETH have officially revealed the full tracklist for their upcoming and final studio album, Megadeth, set to release on January 23, 2026.
Full tracklist:
- “Tipping Point”
- “I Don’t Care”
- “Hey God?!”
- “Let There Be Shred”
- “Puppet Parade”
- “Another Bad Day”
- “Made To Kill”
- “Obey The Call”
- “I Am War”
- “The Last Note”
While the setlist is now confirmed, fans are still buzzing about a previously teased track that doesn’t appear in the final lineup. In earlier Instagram previews, the last song title appeared blurred—but many speculated it read “Ride The Lightning”, sparking theories that MEGADETH might be covering the iconic METALLICA track.
In a resurfaced interview from June with Norwegian radio show Stjernepose, Mustaine teased: “We have 13 new songs for the new album… One of the songs is a cover song but I actually wrote it, so it’s kind of like a cover, kind of like my song. Then there’s two extra songs for when the record’s been out for a while just to keep everybody excited.”
Given Dave Mustaine’s past comments about writing parts of “Ride the Lightning” during his time in METALLICA, the possibility of a reinterpretation felt plausible. Its absence from the official tracklist has led fans on Reddit and elsewhere to suggest it may be included as a bonus track or part of a deluxe edition.
