CATTLE DECAPITATION has announced the cancellation of their upcoming European summer tour, including all scheduled festival appearances and headlining shows, citing ongoing internal challenges.
The band shared the news via a statement, attributing the decision to “circumstances beyond our control” and emphasizing “the mental well being and personal situations occurring within the Cattle Decapitation camp.”
The tour was set to kick off tomorrow, June 4, at Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden, and conclude on June 25 at Rock Imperium in Cartagena, Spain. The itinerary included a mix of high-profile festival slots and headlining performances across the continent.
This development follows a recent lineup change, with longtime bassist Oli Pinard parting ways with the group earlier this year. He was replaced by Diego Soria, known for his work with death metal acts BROKEN HOPE and DISGORGE. While no direct connection has been made between the lineup shift and the tour’s cancellation, it marks another notable transition in what appears to be a period of upheaval for the band.
CATTLE DECAPITATION shared the following statement: “Due to circumstances beyond our control that arose in the last 24h, in addition to the mental well being and personal situations occurring within the CATTLE DECAPITATION camp, we regrettably must cancel our European summer festival tour. We understand and apologize for the inconvenience this causes for all parties involved, as well as to our European fans, but unfortunately we have no way of still making this tour work.”
