METALLICA has expanded its ambitious “Life Burns Faster” residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas once again, announcing an additional ten performances scheduled for early 2027.
The newly revealed dates will take place across February and March 2027, continuing the band’s run at the cutting-edge venue:
February 4 & 6
February 18 & 20
February 25 & 27
March 4 & 6
March 11 & 13
With these shows added, the total number of performances at the Sphere now climbs to 24. The newly announced dates join the previously confirmed run taking place October 1 and October 3, October 8 and October 10, October 15 and October 17, October 22 and October 24, October 29 and October 31, November 5 and November 7, and January 28 and January 30.
The residency was first revealed on February 25 following months of speculation. It marks a major moment for the band, as METALLICA becomes the first heavy metal act to headline the futuristic Las Vegas venue. The shows will continue the band’s “No Repeat Weekend” concept introduced during the 2023 launch of their “M72” world tour, meaning each two-night stand will feature completely different setlists.
The Sphere’s unique technological setup is expected to play a major role in the production. The venue’s wraparound ultra-high-resolution LED display, immersive sound system and multi-sensory 4D elements will transform the concert experience, presenting songs from across the band’s catalog in a format designed specifically for the venue’s capabilities.
Despite the excitement surrounding the residency, some fans have criticized the steep cost of attending. Ticket industry coverage site Ticket News reported that single-night tickets are priced between $700 and $800, while VIP and multi-night packages can range from $1,000 up to $2,900.
Ticket sales also faced technical complications earlier this week. Addressing the situation, Ticketmaster issued a statement explaining that the issues were caused by malicious activity targeting the ticketing platform.
“Yesterday, Ticketmaster blocked a targeted attack that tried to bypass our security systems,” the company said in a statement. “During this period, we paused and slowed queues on certain sales to protect tickets, and some fans had difficulty accessing parts of the site. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked to fight these bad actors.”
Amid the chaotic presale process, METALLICA also warned fans to be cautious about potential ticket scams circulating online.
“PLEASE BE AWARE of false promises, inflated prices, and fraudulent offers from scammers,” the band’s post read.
The band advised fans to purchase tickets only through official partners listed in its announcement, including Ticketmaster, Superfan Live, Vibee and Tixr HQ.
