In an interview with The Straits Times, METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich revealed that the band is planning to make a video for every song on their upcoming album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct
He said: “Now that YouTube is the world’s biggest television station, we figured we may as well knock a video out for every song (on the new album)”
Ulrich describes getting the videos done as a “giant undertaking”. He said: “The practicality of shooting 12 music videos is kind of crazy, especially when you’re trying to promote your record, and you’re all over the place, and trying to make sure it doesn’t leak. It’s crazy but, at the same time, fun.”
Hardwired… To Self-Destruct will be released on November 18. Produced by Greg Fidelman, along with James and Lars, this is band’s 11th studio album and is available for pre-order in a variety of configurations including 12 songs on a double CD, vinyl, digital download, as well as a deluxe version with the riffs that were the origins of the album. Everyone who pre-orders the album through Metallica.com will receive an instant download of the song “Hardwired.”
