In a recent interview with EMGtv, METALLICA frontman James Hetfield has revealed that the band is currently in the studio recording what is probably follow-up to 2008’s “Death Magnetic”.
“I tell ya, we’re recording right now, and there’s the number one guitar, there’s the number two guitar, there’s the number three. And here’s the third-track guitars that just sound different. They all sound different,” reveals Hetfield in the video below.
2008’s Death Magnetic debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, selling 490,000 copies in just three days of availability. It is the band’s fifth consecutive studio album to debut at #1, making METALLICA the first and, to date, only band to have five consecutive studio album releases to do so. The album marked the highest first week sales for the group since 1996’s Load.
