Plane Owned By Vince Neil Crashed

A plane owned by MÖTLEY CRÜE vocalist Vince Neil was involved in a deadly collision with another aircraft at Scottsdale Airport in Scottsboro, AZ. The identities of those on board remain unknown, but several sources claim that at least one person has died, while four others have been hospitalized.

“Today, Scottsdale sadly experienced an aircraft accident at our airport,” Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky told News Channel 5. “Based on the information provided thus far, it appears at least one person is dead after two jets collided on the runway at Scottsdale Airport.

“The accident happened just before 3 p.m. when a Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing, according to information provided by the Federal Aviation Administration.”

The FAA has temporarily halted all incoming flights to the airport, with an investigation set to be conducted by both the FAA and NTSB, led by the NTSB.

The Music Universe has verified that the Learjet, bearing tail number N81VN, is registered to Chromed in Hollywood, Inc., a Franklin, Tennessee-based company listing Vince Neil as its President/Director.

At this time, it remains uncertain whether Neil was aboard the jet during the accident.

***UPDATE: Vince Neil was not on board, his manager confirmed. However, his girlfriend, who was traveling on the jet, survived. Details here. ***
