MÖTLEY CRÜE is turning back the clock and bringing some serious star power along for the ride. The iconic rock band has announced the release of a new career-spanning compilation, From The Beginning, arriving September 12 via BMG. The collection features 40 years of CRÜE anthems — and one very special surprise: a newly reimagined version of their 1985 power ballad “Home Sweet Home” featuring none other than country music legend Dolly Parton.
The unexpected but inspired collaboration finds Parton joining forces with the CRÜE for a heartfelt duet, celebrating the classic track’s 40th anniversary. Known for her unmistakable voice and timeless presence, Parton adds a new layer of emotional depth to the beloved song — bridging rock and country in a way only she can.
MÖTLEY CRÜE shared their excitement about the project in a statement: “Originally released in 1985, ‘Home Sweet Home’ has meant so much to both our fans and us. Collaborating with the legendary Dolly Parton on this reimagined version to celebrate the song’s 40th anniversary was an absolute career highlight.”
Bassist Nikki Sixx added: “It was such an honor to work with Dolly Parton on ‘Home Sweet Home’. Hope you love it as much as we do. Sitting in the studio watching her do her magic was a career high for me.”
Beyond the music, the duet carries a philanthropic spirit — a portion of the proceeds from “Home Sweet Home” featuring Dolly Parton will benefit Covenant House, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting homeless and at-risk youth.
From The Beginning collects the band’s most iconic tracks, from their breakout single “Live Wire” to 2024’s “Dogs Of War,” along with classics like “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Kickstart My Heart,” and “Shout at the Devil.” The CD version includes 19 songs, while the expanded vinyl edition offers 21, featuring cuts like “Afraid” and the title track from their 2023 Cancelled EP.
