Barcelona’s experimental rockers OBSIDIAN KINGDOM have been awarded the “Best International Music Video” for “MEAT STAR” via the Santiago Horror Film Festival 2020!
“Meat Star” is taken from the band’s latest full-length, MEAT MACHINE, which is out now. The award-winning video can be seen below.
The band comments: “It is with enormous awe and gratefulness that we welcome our first ever international film award. Unsurprisingly, it comes from the land that gave birth to Alejandro Jodorowsky, whose works have always inspired us, and especially so when we were writing the script for ‘MEAT STAR.’
“Let us express our deepest admiration for the directors of the video, Ferran Ureña & Eric Morales, and the whole crew at Vivir Rodando Films, who have managed to turn our bewildering fantasies into a jaw-dropping motion picture.”
MEAT MACHINE is a harsh sonic journey, abject and stentorian like a love letter from a school shooter. The perverse album is a rough drop into a nightmarish world of forbidden desires, frustrated sexual urges and the dark realms of the subconscious mind.
