Original KISS Drummer PETER CRISS Announces First Solo Album In Years, Out This December

Rock legend and original KISS drummer Peter Criss is stepping back into the spotlight with a brand-new solo album, simply titled Peter Criss, set for release on December 19.

Co-produced by Criss and Barry Pointer—whose credits include Ozzy Osbourne, MÖTLEY CRÜE, and Dolly Parton—the album features a powerhouse roster of collaborators:

  • Billy Sheehan and Matthew Montgomery (Piggy D.) on bass
  • John 5 and Mike McLaughlin on guitar
  • Paul Shaffer on piano
  • Backing vocals from Dennis and Sharon Collins, and Cat Manning of CAT 5

The Bandcamp page describes the album as “the Catman’s return to form, and his most rock driven solo album ever, and it includes appearances by John 5, Billy Sheehan, and Paul Shaffer.”

All CD and digital versions of Peter Criss include the bonus track “Hard Rock Knockers,” while vinyl editions come with a download card for the same. The full tracklist includes 11 songs, each featuring Sheehan and Shaffer, with John 5 joining on select cuts.
