Ozzy Osbourne has divulged his concerns ahead of the premiere of his much-anticipated return to reality television, as he confesses that the first series nearly drove his family bonkers. As we prepare for the BLACK SABBATH frontman and wife Sharon‘s relocation from California to Buckinghamshire on their upcoming show, Ozzy can’t help but be apprehensive about what lies in store.
Ozzy, Sharon and their two younger children, Kelly and Jack, became international superstars when The Osbournes aired from 2002-2005. Aimee – the eldest daughter of the family – wisely chose not to participate in this new phase of fame for her parents.
However, Ozzy candidly admitted that shooting the upcoming series caused a significant impact on his family.
“I don’t know how The Kardashians have done it for so long. It sent us crazy at the end,” Ozzy said on SiriusXM. “I am not sorry I did it, but after three or four years I said, ‘Do you know what? We’re going to lose somebody because it is getting too crazy’.”
Despite his years as a member of BLACK SABBATH, Ozzy confessed that he wasn’t prepared for the amount of fame their show ultimately brought to the family.
“There is rock and roll fame, which is pretty intense, but that Osbourne level was just unbelievable.”
“The kids paid for it. They all ended up doing drugs,” Ozzy added. “Jack got clean and sober on that show, Kelly messed up on that show, I was messed up and Sharon got cancer.”
As Kelly and Jack tend to their families in the US, it is uncertain what role they will have in the upcoming series.
