Legendary BLACK SABBATH frontman Ozzy Osbourne was reportedly laid to rest yesterday (Thursday, July 31) at his sprawling mansion in Buckinghamshire, England.
The private ceremony took place on the grounds of the 250-acre estate and was attended by a small circle of close family, friends, and fellow rock icons. Among those in attendance were Elton John, members of METALLICA, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Zakk Wylde, and Osbourne’s BLACK SABBATH bandmates.
According to Daily Mail, the intimate gathering honored the Prince of Darkness with heartfelt tributes and emotional moments. One striking detail from the service was a massive floral arrangement placed beside the estate’s lake, boldly spelling out “Ozzy F**king Osbourne”—a fitting farewell to one of metal’s most enduring and defiant voices.
TMZ published images of some of the guests arriving at the estate, showing a solemn yet supportive crowd coming together to pay their final respects.
British rocker Yungblud (Dominic Harrison) gave a reading during the ceremony. The young artist had grown close to Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne after they appeared in the music video for his 2022 track “The Funeral.”
Ozzy’s death followed a long and public battle with Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2019. While an official cause of death has not been confirmed, reports state that paramedics worked for nearly two hours to save him after responding to a medical emergency at his Buckinghamshire home, where he passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Last month, Osbourne performed what would become his final concert — the highly emotional “Back to the Beginning” show at Villa Park in Birmingham — reuniting with the original BLACK SABBATH lineup one last time.
