In a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Ozzy Osbourne talked about the BLACK SABBATH‘s farewell tour while saying he is not interested performing with SABBATH ever again.
“I was talking to Tony Iommi the other day, and he was saying, by the looks of it, we’re gonna be a f*cking thing of the past in the respect that there’ll be no more indoor gigs,” Ozzy said.
When interviewer noted that Tony Iommi previously said that he might be open for performing with BLACK SABBATH in future, Ozzy said: “Not for me. It’s done. The only thing I do regret is not doing the last farewell show in Birmingham with Bill Ward. I felt really bad about that.
“It would have been so nice. I don’t know what the circumstances behind it were, but it would have been nice, he continued. “I’ve talked to him a few times, but I don’t have any of the slightest interest in [doing another gig]. Maybe Tony‘s getting bored now.”
When asked if he is still close with Iommi and rest of SABBATH members, Ozzy responded: “Out of all of them, he’s been the one I’ve been most in touch with [since my surgery]. He’s been really keeping me going and giving me words of encouragement. I’ve heard from Bill once or twice. I haven’t heard much from Geezer [Butler], but that’s Geezer.”
BLACK SABBATH played their final concert on 4 February 2017 in Birmingham. The final song was streamed live on the band’s Facebook page and fireworks went off as the band took their final bow. On 7 March 2017, SABBATH announced their disbandment through posts made on their official social media accounts.
