PANTERA fans are about to get one of the most comprehensive visual tributes ever assembled. Rufus Publications has unveiled plans for Pantera, an officially sanctioned coffee table book created in collaboration with renowned rock photographer Ross Halfin — a name long associated with some of the most iconic images in metal history.
Halfin has spent recent years embedded with the current PANTERA touring lineup, documenting everything from blistering performances to candid downtime on the road. Alongside these contemporary shots, he has opened his personal archive to showcase rare and previously unseen photographs of the classic era — capturing “Dimebag” Darrell and Vinnie Paul in their prime. The result is a deep visual chronicle spanning the band’s legacy, offering fans a look at PANTERA both then and now.
Presented in a massive A3 portrait format, the book stretches beyond 300 pages, giving Halfin’s photography room to breathe on an impressive scale. Each copy will arrive housed in a diamond plate–inspired slipcase, adding to the collectible appeal. True to PANTERA tradition, the release will be strictly limited: only 666 numbered editions will be produced, each hand-signed by the current touring members — Philip Anselmo, Rex Brown, Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante.
PANTERA’s legacy remains one of the most impactful in metal. With a catalog that reshaped heavy music and the landmark Far Beyond Driven debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1994, the band has sold over 25 million records worldwide. Their return to the stage in 2022 — the first major touring activity in over two decades — reignited global demand, with fans packing arenas and festivals across continents. Most recently, the group wrapped a major U.S. amphitheater tour supported by AMON AMARTH, following high-profile dates with METALLICA and an all-star bill at Ozzy Osbourne and BLACK SABBATH’s final U.K. concert celebration.
Pantera by Ross Halfin will be available for pre-order exclusively through Rufus Publications beginning Thursday, December 4 at 3 p.m. U.K. time. Priced at £250 plus shipping worldwide, the book is scheduled to ship in spring 2026.
