Phoenix, Arizona Progressive Rock band PARANOVA, who met 100% of their goal on Pledge Music will independently release their debut record titled “Hyperhollow” on July 7th. Their single “Headline” has already caught the attention of local radio station ALT AZ 93-3 who spun the song on the Homegrown with Mo Show. PARANOVA will be hitting the road this month on a headlining run in support of the new release. You can check out “Headline” music video below.
The band comments: “This song is a new mile-stone for us in the songwriting, expression, and musical direction that makes up Paranova. Setting aside a traditional single-formula, we present to you the longest song on our new record, a song we hope will mean as much to you as it does to us.”
PARANOVA formed in 2015 based on similar music interests between all four members, who initially met at the School of Rock (Scottsdale). The band has always been centered around one main goal: Pushing themselves to make the best music they could, and to master their respective instrument in the process. Since then, the drive to create music has not stopped. Three years later, they are due to release an album that represents the tireless dedication put into achieving that very goal.
They recently announced the release of our first full-length record, “Hyperhollow,” out on July 7th 2017. After over two years of writing music together, they came up with 10 songs that they feel represent exactly who they are and fulfill the sound that they were looking to produce. The music is best described as technical, yet genuine instrumentation complimented by engaging vocal melodies. After putting a year’s worth of efforts into writing the album, they are quite proud of the result.
Musically, they attempted to write a range of different styles and techniques, all the while focusing on bettering themselves as musicians in the process. Lyrically, they discuss a wide spectrum of themes, even crafting a concept between the last two tracks. A big part of the album is a thematic analysis of how humans disregard their best interests in favor of shallow, fleeting feelings and actions. This subject is where the album title and main track, “Hyperhollow,” draws its inspiration from.
