PHILIP ANSELMO Showcases His Haunted House For Halloween 2025 (Video)

Phil Anselmo Haunted House 2025

Metal legend and horror aficionado Philip Anselmo is back with another spine-tingling Halloween tradition — and this year, he’s letting fans peek behind the curtain. The Housecore Records YouTube channel just dropped a video tour of Anselmo’s private haunted house, hosted by the man himself… and his trusty tortoise, Harry.

For the past five years, Anselmo has been crafting a haunted experience for close friends and family, transforming his home into a labyrinth of eerie delights. The 2025 edition is no exception — complete with dim corridors, creepy props, and the unmistakable touch of someone who lives and breathes horror.

Anselmo’s love for horror isn’t just seasonal. In 2013, he co-founded the Housecore Horror Film & Music Festival with true crime author Corey Mitchell, a three-day underground celebration of horror and heavy metal. The event fused live performances from metal icons with screenings of cult horror films, music videos, and appearances by revered underground directors — a visceral mashup of sonic and cinematic darkness.

Discussing his love for horror in a 2010 ARTISTdirect.com interview, Anselmo said: “[When I was growing up] we had a black and white TV, and there was the Saturday Matinee, which was a horror fest,” he said. “As a matter of fact, I was home alone and I saw Mario Bava‘s Black Sabbath, but that’s a later memory. There was the afternoon show, and then the Saturday night show had a horror host, ‘The Guru.’ Honestly, the most impactful one was the Sunday Morning Movie — films like Fiend Without A Face and How Awful About Allan. Believe it or not, those were on TV! S**t like that flipped me out. I would sneak up and beg my mother every night, ‘Can I stay up and watch Night Gallery?’ [Laughs] I was sneaking out of bed, too, though.”
