“The Heaviest Tour of the Summer” arrived at the Kia Forum in LA this past August 27! An extensive U.S. amphitheater tour headlined by heavy metal legends PANTERA and supported by Swedish melodic death metal band AMON AMARTH. With support from Australian grindcore band KING PARROT. Metal Addicts was there to bring you very exclusive shots of this badass summer tour!
The tour started in July and will conclude in West Palm Beach, FL, in September. The band lineup consists of core members Phil Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass), along with Zakk Wylde (guitar) and Charlie Benante (drums). The tour served as a continued celebration of the lives of late founding members, drummer Vinnie Paul and guitarist Dimebag Darrell.
During the tour, AMON AMARTH released a new stand-alone single and music video, “We Rule the Waves”. According to a press release, the song is a “tribute to the spirit of freedom, brotherhood, and the will to conquer”. The single was the band’s first new music since 2022’s The Great Heathen Army. KING PARROT supported the tour while promoting their new album, A Young Person’s Guide To, which was released on June 6, 2025, via Housecore Records.
This is a tour you don’t want to miss! Make sure to check the bands official website for more info about tickets, meet & greet events, and locations featuring all three bands.
