QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE leader Josh Homme cut his European tour short and flew back to the United States for urgent surgery.

Fresh off their Download Festival headline set last month, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE announced today (July 9th) the cancellation of their remaining European shows for July.

QOTSA regret to announced that Josh Homme must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery,” the post reads.

“Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue.”

Adding to the tour cancellation news, Josh Homme had previously announced a unique QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE show at the Paris Catacombs this week. Unfortunately, this highly anticipated gig appears to be scrapped as well.

Band added: “Ticket holders for festivals, please visit the specific festival website for updated information.

“Ticket holders for headline shows will be contacted directly from the point of purchase with further information.”

Metal Addicts joins the well wishes for Josh Homme’s surgery and a speedy recovery.
