RAMMSTEIN have been working on their long-awaited new studio album and follow-up to their 2019’s self-titled studio album during the pandemic.

According to the latest reports, the band planned to release new album this summer, but it now seems that the final release date is still a little unclear.

Now, Sven Helbig, who has written orchestral arrangements for the band, among other things, told Sächsische: “The band itself doesn’t know [when the new album will be released] at the moment. The trivial reason: lack of paper. They need to be able to send out a large number of CDs and records, i.e. lots of booklets and covers, worldwide at one go. And that’s probably not feasible right now.”

RAMMSTEIN keyboardist Flake Lorenz said in a last year’s interview about new album: “The fact that we couldn’t perform live increased our creativity. We had more time to think of new things and less distraction. As a result, we recorded a record that we hadn’t planned on.”
