The RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS paid tribute to NIRVANA on October 29th with a cover of “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” The band has been touring in support of their latest album, Return of the Dream Canteen, and decided to add the grunge classic to their setlist.
Guitarist John Frusciante took over lead vocals for the chorus, and also performed RAMONES‘ “I Remember You” without the remaining band members joining in for the tune, as has been a recurring practice during the tour.
