Ok. Extreme metal is not for everyone, even heavy metallers. There are some guys that rather listen to any kind of pop garbage than listen to extreme metal bands. I strongly desagree. Extreme metal is the present, and future, of Metal. The point I would like to discuss here is that. Unfortunately most of our idols are going away. Just yesterday we posted here that Judas Priest’s Glenn Tipton will have to retire due to parkinson. A lot of Metal grim reapers predicted that the end is near. And the burning question pop up: what’s the future of Metal? Who’s going to carry it on?
I do have a tip: bands like Revel In Flesh. Of course there are metallers that prefer more melodic stuff. Well, then. Our page is full of them. My point is this guys: give new bands a chance. Songs like “Bonecrusher” are masterpieces of the dark arts. The perfect combination of an exciting drumming to a fierceful vocal. Revel In Flesh are a band that show us a lot of excitement. In their own way, of course. That is the point, one has to get used to extreme metal. It takes some, uh, training.
Guys, life is a contradiction full of contrasts. Revel In Flesh show us how to master these contrasts in music. Not an easy task, though. Aggression and melodic have to be very well dosed, that is the task to extreme metal bands. But how well can they do that? Listen carefully to this “Relics Of The Deathkult.” The answer is blowing in the wind…

I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
