In the latest edition of their Sunday Lunch online series, KING CRIMSON guitar mastermind Robert Fripp and his musician wife Toyah Willcox have covered MEGADETH‘s classic “Holy Wars… The Punishment Due.”
In the latest installment, Fripp delivers one of the heaviest riffs yet while Toyah offers a soulful take on Dave Mustaine’s politically charged lyrics. As always, Toyah leaves little to the imagination with her choice of outfit.
Recently, Fripp has also been criticized by some KING CRIMSON fans for his couples’ zany performances. He responded to the The Telegraph, saying: “I’m 76 years old—why should I give a f*ck? This is my life.”
On Sundays beginning in 2020 during the pandemic, the couple began their popular series of lunchtime covers of famous songs. Some examples include FOO FIGHTERS’ “All My Life,” Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World,” THE UNDERTONES’ “Teenage Kicks” and SHAMSING PUMPKINS‘ “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.”
