Australia’s blackened avant-garde metal force SÁLEZIANOS take a bold left turn with the release of their latest offering: a haunting, emotionally charged cover of “Brother” by ALICE IN CHAINS, available now on all streaming platforms along with a mesmerizing lyric video.

A loving yet harrowing reinterpretation of the Jerry Cantrell-penned classic, SÁLEZIANOS drench “Brother” in their signature atmospheric intensity and textured heaviness—melding dark harmonies with layered instrumentation and a gut-wrenching vocal performance.

Layne Staley is, in my estimation, the greatest vocalist of our time. I felt the emotion of every note that man sang.” — Daniel Phillip East, SÁLEZIANOS

SÁLEZIANOS was born from the creative collision of two visionary musicians. Nick Parkinson, drummer of blackened death metal act Larry Leadfoot, relocated from Sydney to Melbourne in 2019 and soon joined forces with Daniel Phillip East (formerly of psychestral rock outfit ARTIST PROOF). Their first jam session sparked an instant creative chemistry, setting them on a path of relentless songwriting and intense live performances.

Under the LARRY LEADFOOT moniker, they played multiple shows and released their debut EP Hellxotica in 2021, followed by Sins and All: Live in Hellbourne, a raw and blistering live album. Recognizing their musical evolution, they rebranded as SÁLEZIANOS, and with the addition of vocalist Henry Derek Elis, they are now forging a new era of extreme metal.
