Badass. Progressive. F*cking. Thrash metal. That sums up Salythia’s awesome upcoming album “Death D’core” because (1) that’s the genre it is, and (2) Salythia brings to the table gut-wrenching metal that made me very excited to hearing this on Spotify, or iTunes, or wherever when this drops on February 17th. Now I will admit to the cover putting me off a little bit but I got over it the moment the first track started playing because before I was wondering what the hell I was getting myself into and now I want to go back and listen to it again because this album has everything that a progressive metal fan could ever want along with thrash metal that is more aggressive than usual (but not too aggressive if you catch my drift) that just gives “Death D’core” an amazing feel to it. Everything from the vocals (hardcore!) to the guitars (ridiculously good) to the awesome beat of the drums to just the raw a—s feel of the album just blew me the f*ck away 100% because it was not what I was expecting. Like I said – “Death D’core” doesn’t bust out until February 17th, but you can watch the official music video for the track “Affliction” off of the album via YouTube right below.
