Sammy Hagar sold his rare 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari for a record-breaking $4.675 million on Saturday at the Barrett-Jackson 2024 fall auction in Scottsdale.
The former VAN HALEN frontman flew into Scottsdale for the event, where his car fetched the impressive price. The previous record for a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari was set at $3.9 million in August 2022 during the Broad Arrow Group Auctions at the Monterey Jet Center in California.
Initially, Hagar had planned to sell his unique car in January at the 2024 Barrett-Jackson collector car auction but decided to wait so a high-voltage lithium-ion battery could be installed.
Hagar’s LaFerrari, custom-designed for him, was also one of just 499 models ever made. The vehicle can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in under three seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph.
