Sharon Osbourne has slammed music blogger Bob Lefsetz after he accused Ozzy Osbourne of becoming “so overexposed with story as opposed to music, he’s become a cartoon character.”
What kind of crazy f*cked-up world do we live in where Ozzy Osbourne releases his best new track in eons and no one knows?,” Lefsetz wrote in a November 13 blog post.
“One in which Ozzy has become so overexposed with story as opposed to music he’s become a cartoon character, and one in which culture washes over you in a tsunami to the point where nothing is important, to where everything can be ignored or marginalized, despite the hype machine.
Bob went on to say that the last great work Ozzy did was almost 30 years ago with “No More Tears”, insisting that the singer has “missed the target” since guitarist Zakk Wylde has been gone from Ozzy‘s band.
After Sharon read Bob‘s comments, she wrote him an e-mail, which he has posted to his web site. “You’ve been pretty disrespectful whenever you’ve mentioned [Ozzy] in the past.
“In the past when you have tried to write about British music from the 70s, 80s & 90s you’ve always got it wrong … As for Ozzy and BLACK SABBATH, you don’t understand the music, you don’t understand the culture and now are only writing about Ozzy now to try and be hip because you’ve heard his new album is going to be a landmark album for him.”

Sharon recently revealed that Ozzy‘s new solo album will be released in January.
She spoke about Ozzy‘s health during an appearance on SiriusXM. When asked how legendary BLACK SABBATH singer is recovering from his recent setbacks, she responded: “He’s getting there. He had a very, very bad accident this year, but he’s getting there.
“He’s just finished an album, and the album is coming out in January. And he’s doing good. He’s very excited about the duet he did with Post [Malone] and also Travis Scott. It’s doing great. It’s at Top 40 radio, and it’s climbing up every week. It’s doing good.”
In a recent interview with The Sun, Ozzy has revealed that he finished work on his next solo album.
“I’ve made a new album and it’s helped get me back on track,” legendary BLACK SABBATH singer said. “I was just lying in my own self-pity for months. It’s the greatest album I’ve done.”
He said the record came after he was asked to appear on a track by Post Malone.
“I’d never even heard of this kid. He wanted me to sing on his song “Take What You Want,” so I did and then one thing led to another. I started recording a new album with Post Malone’s producer Andrew Watt. It’s only nine tracks but it was a catalyst to get me to where I am today.”
“If it wasn’t for making this record I would still be on traction, thinking, ‘I’m going to be lying here for ever’. I’ve missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album I thought I was dying. But that got me off my a**e.”
He added: “If it wasn’t for making this record I would still be on traction, thinking, ‘I’m going to be lying here for ever’. I’ve missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album I thought I was dying. But that got me off my a—s.”
“This is my first recording in a studio for ten years, so I do feel a bit out of touch. Music goes straight online these days and that’s quicker than it takes me to write a text. It’s all about downloads and streaming now. What the f*ck does that mean? What’s Spotify? I thought it was a skin problem where you woke up spotified.
“The album was all finished in four weeks,” he added.” I said to Sharon that I didn’t feel like I’d made an album because we haven’t ended up screaming at each other.”
