During the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast, Sharon Osbourne and her son Jack Osbourne addressed several ongoing issues—most notably the high-profile lawsuit filed by veteran rock photographer Neil Zlozower regarding images of the late Ozzy Osbourne.
The legal battle, which originated in February 2025 while Ozzy was still alive, stems from claims that photographs taken by Zlozower were used across Ozzy’s social media accounts without authorization or financial compensation, as previously reported by Billboard. According to the lawsuit, the posts—shared with audiences totaling millions of followers across multiple platforms—provided a commercial benefit to Ozzy’s brand, prompting the photographer to seek damages.
Sharon Osbourne did not mince words when discussing the dispute. Reflecting on her past relationship with Zlozower, she noted (via Loudwire): “He was from the old days, he was actually at our wedding.”
She then described the contested use of the images and the financial stakes involved: “[Someone on Ozzy’s team] put up a picture of Ozzy and it was up for about two days on Ozzy’s website and he’s suing us for $50,000 for putting up his picture. Apparently he’s done it to so many different artists too and it’s like, Neil — f**k you. F**k you and your f**king $50,000.”
Jack Osbourne clarified during the discussion that the images in question were posted on social media rather than the official website, but Sharon remained firm in her criticism of the photographer’s legal approach: “I don’t even remember but this piece of s**t is suing us for $50,000.”
She further alleged that litigation has become a primary business model for Zlozower in recent years: “Neil makes a living about suing people. He’s older now, I don’t think he takes many pictures now. I don’t think he works now but he’s making a living.”
Zlozower has filed nearly 60 lawsuits since 2016 against various individuals and bands, including Elvis Costello, GUNS N’ ROSES, and MÖTLEY CRÜE. This lawsuit claims Osbourne used several of Zlozower‘s photos without permission, including five portraits of Osbourne with guitarist Zakk Wylde and one of Osbourne embracing Randy Rhoads onstage.
Zlozower alleged he contacted Osbourne’s team three times in 2024 regarding the unauthorized photos, but received no response. This lack of communication, Zlozower claims, has forced him to take legal action.
