Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina will become the epicenter of metal music on April 18th and 19th, 2025, when the third edition of the Eternal Flame Metal Festival takes place. After receiving its official name last year, Eternal Flame continues to grow and is becoming an unmissable name on the regional metal scene.
The festival will be held at the iconic Dom Mladih, where ten bands will perform over two days, covering almost all genres of metal – from extreme Brutal Death Metal to melodic Heavy Metal.
The bands performing are:
HETREM: A Thrash/Death Metal bomb from Široki Brijeg, already well-known to the Sarajevo audience, coming back to demolish the stage once again.
LEPRA: One of the most renowned domestic thrash metal bands, a group that will carry the flag of Sarajevo metal.
MY LAST SUICIDE: A band that needs little introduction. Veterans of the Banja Luka metal scene return to the big stage after many years to deliver classic Melodic Death Metal.
IZROD: Sarajevo’s Black Metal supergroup, one of the best products of the most active and successful domestic metal collective, Black Plague Circle. They will surely attract a large Black Metal audience, both domestic and international.
CASKET: A German Old School Death Metal artillery unit with a Bosnian drummer will delight fans of classic riffs and heavy grooves.
MORIBUND OBLIVION: The most famous Turkish Black Metal band returns to Sarajevo after a long time. Led by a frontman of Bosnian roots, Moribund Oblivion will guide us through traditional Black Metal elements enriched with atmospheric, melodic, and even oriental influences.
DEATH VALLEY KNIGHTS: A British Heavy Metal band that signed up for this edition of the festival before the previous one even took place. With Warhammer-themed lyrics, they are here to deliver the curse of the four Chaos gods through heavy riffs and melodic vocals.
PUTRIDITY: The most brutal of all Brutal Death Metal bands, and therefore the heaviest metal band in the world. You need to be there to hear it. If an earthquake could be translated into music, it would be the Italian band Putridity.
SINISTER: One of the festival’s headliners, already familiar to Sarajevo audiences since their 2006 performance at Sloga, needs little introduction. With nearly 40 years on stage, they remain the crème de la crème of the global Death Metal scene.
PESTILENCE: The second headliner of Eternal Flame 2025 will have their first-ever performance in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Fans of classic Death Metal will undoubtedly be thrilled. Pestilence has been at the top of the Death Metal scene longer than most festival attendees have been alive, ensuring an outstanding performance.
