Heavy Metallers CAULDRON To Release 5th album “New Gods” In Europe Via Dissonance Sept 7th 2018

For the new album the trio returned with producer Chris Stringer at Union Sound in Toronto. Entitled “NEW GODS,” Cauldron 5th full length studio record once again promises a strong emphasis on songwriting and melody, complete with high-end organic production to match!

“We have always prioritized songwriting above anything else. For me personally, I have always felt more confident writing than as a “musician” and for the first time I think we have found the production that best suits our songs. We painstakingly followed our vision through to the end on this one and really spared no expense. It was a dark couple of years surrounding the band; our near fatal crash that set us on hiatus during the In Ruin tour along with some unrelated personal misfortunes that followed. I think that through this struggle we managed to come up with something very strong. I am very proud of this record and have a very good sense of accomplishment. It is dark, it is heavy and it has a very melodic sense of AOR. Most importantly, it still sounds very Cauldron and it is a great feeling to finally have it see the light of day!” -Jason

“We’re quite excited to announce our signing to Dissonance and the release of our 5th full length studio album “New Gods.” I’m really proud of the song writing, performances and production on this one, and it’s definitely the most confident I’ve been in a finished album of ours.  We’ve basically been honing these songs since before “In Ruin” was even released. To me this album sounds like a major improvement on all counts, but also the logical follow up to “In Ruin.” I’m pretty sure people who were into the last album will like this one just as much if not more! – Ian

BIOGRAPHY

Born from the ashes of genre-defining, critically-lauded GOAT HORN, the band known for being heavily influenced by Black Sabbath, Venom, and Judas Priest called it a day in 2006, and front man Jason Decay wasted no time in putting together CAULDRON to continue with his heavy metal vision. Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, CAULDRON has since then released the “Into The Cauldron” (2007) EP, as well as four full-length albums: “Chained to the Nite” (2009), “Burning Fortune” (2011), “Tomorrow’s Lost” (2012), “In Ruin” (2016) and the “Moonlight Desires” EP (2014). The band has toured the world with the likes of Municipal Waste, Death Angel, Nevermore, Diamond Head, Enforcer, and in the summer of 2013, were invited to play Metallica’s Orion Fest in Detroit. “Burning Fortune” was nominated for a Juno award in 2012 while the video for the single “All or Nothing” has received almost 600,000 views on Youtube/Vevo and was featured in the video game RockBand. In January 2016 “In Ruin” debuted at #1 on the CMJ Loud Rock charts. During the tour the band suffered a near-fatal crash that set them on an indefinite hiatus. Cauldron bounced back to the stage in October 2016 on a US tour with Satan followed by a European headlining tour in the Spring of 2017. As of 2018, Cauldron will release the follow up to the critically acclaimed “In Ruin” via The End Records (America) and Dissonance Productions (Europe).
