The band is scheduled to play a show on Saturday, April 13th at the Oakland Metro in Oakland, California, where they will perform its 1988 debut album “Eternal Nightmare” in its entirety, along with “other surprises.” Tickets are available right here.
The VIO-LENCE lineup that will appear at that show will consist of guitarist Phil Demmel, vocalist Sean Killian, bassist Deen Dell, drummer Perry Strickland and guitarist Ray Vegas. The latter replaces classic lineup-era guitarist Robb Flynn, who left VIO-LENCE about a year before the band’s first breakup in 1993, and has since fronted MACHINE HEAD.
There is no word yet whether the reunion will result in a new album or more than one show.
For the past two years, Killian has been battling stage four liver cirrhosis, which was caused in part by a genetic condition called hemochromatosis.
