BLIND GUARDIAN — whose frontman, Hansi Kürsch, shares a project with ICED EARTH‘s Jon SchafferDEMONS & WIZARDS — have released the following statement regarding the violence and destruction of property at the U.S. Capitol building on January 6.

“We are deeply shocked and our thoughts are with the relatives of the deceased,” statement reads. “We expressly distance ourselves from any kind of violence irrespective if applied against institutions or persons. The incidents will be thoroughly investigated and the responsibles will be brought to justice. We ask for your understanding that in view of the hourly news situation we will not make any further comments at present.”

Schaffer is among dozens of people wanted by the FBI for storming Capitol Hill. The FBI‘s Washington Field Office early Friday morning released 40 photos of people who are suspected of unlawful entry during a violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol carried out on Wednesday during the final Congressional vote recording for the 2020 general election.

ICED EARTH singer Stu Block also responded to fans who are outraged that the band’s guitarist and leader Jon Schaffer is searched by police of unlawful entry during a violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol carried out on January 6 during the final Congressional vote recording for the 2020 general election.

Block shared an image of a red heart on his social media, along with the simple caption: “Nuff said #love.”

After one person commented: “I unfortunately can no longer support the band you are in. Much love and respect for you as a person and a great singer but Jon no longer gets a dime from me. I will follow and support you in all future endeavors . I hope Jon realizes that being self centered and ideological does not just affect him but his extended family. God Bless you and your family,” Block responded: “this is your decision and how you feel and I must absolutely respect that.”
