Doug Groff of the Florida radio station WXOF recently conducted an interview with singer Rob Halford of British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.

Asked if there will be more albums from JUDAS PRIEST to follow this year’s “Redeemer Of Souls”, Halford said: “Well, I’ve gotta say that right now we’re tremendously focused on giving ‘Redeemer Of Souls’ a great opportunity to express itself to our fans by the initial release. And then, of course, the shows that we are planning to do this year and next year.”

He continued: “I don’t know, man. The energy is so solid, why stop? We’re creative. We wrote twenty tracks for this release and we ended up using eighteen, if you get the deluxe version. We were on track to do a double CD and we were… That just shows you, I think, the vitality and the energy that’s still strong in the band.”

Halford added: “So, no, it ain’t the end. That fat metal lady hasn’t sung yet. [Laughs] We’ve got her taped up somewhere in a place that she can’t get out of. So we’ve got a lot of stuff that we still wanna do, and as long as you guys are looking out for PRIEST, and the fans are there for PRIEST, there’s no end in sight.”

On Black Friday “Record Store Day,” November 28, JUDAS PRIEST released a limited-edition 10-inch vinyl, “5 Souls”, containing the five bonus tracks from “Redeemer Of Souls”.

JUDAS PRIEST‘s 17th studio album, “Redeemer Of Souls”, sold around 32,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 6 on The Billboard 200 chart.
