KID ROCK Announce Closing Of His Detroit Restaurant After Controversy Over OPRAH WINFREY Remarks

Kid Rock

Kid Rock has announced that he will be closing his Detroit restaurant, just a week after he made a series of controversial statements about Oprah Winfrey. The licensing agreement for Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit restaurant, located inside Little Caesar’s Arena, was up for renewal in April.

“I will not be renewing my licensing agreement for my Made In Detroit Restaurant this April,” he said in a statement. “I appreciate all who have patronized our place and still have much love for the City of Detroit and the people / organizations that I have helped there for years, black, white, whatever, but learned long ago, go where you’re celebrated, not tolerated.

“I guess the millions of dollars I pumped into that town was not enough,” Kid continued. “I will let the NAN network and others go ahead and take the wheel now. Good luck.

“I may be guilty of being a loud mouth j*rk at times, but trying to label me racist is a joke, and actually only does a disservice to the black community, which I have supported my entire life, by trying to alienate myself and many others.

In a video by, TMZ, you can hear him in a drunken rank in restaurant in question: “F*ck OprahOprah Winfrey is, like, ‘Hey, I just want women to believe in this sh*t.’ F*ck her. She can suck d*ck sideways.”

“And if you say that, people say, ‘Hey, I’m pretty sure Kid Rock‘s a racist.’ I’m, like, ‘Okay, fine’. F*ck off’,” he added.

He also took a swing at “The View” co-host Joy Behar during his appearance before he was reluctantly escorted offstage by the venue’s security officials.

You could also hear one person from the crowd: “He’s racist. Look at him. He’s blacked out, drunk as f*ck,” one person can be heard saying.
