PANTERA’s VINNIE PAUL’s Name Was Omitted From Grammys’ 2019 ‘In Memoriam’ Segment

As usual, the Grammys disrespected Metal names to be honored. Pantera‘s Vinnie Paul‘s name was to be honored as “In Memoriam” segment, but for any reason, it was omitted says the report from NME.

The source noted that although the event did honor Aretha Franklin, Avicii, Lynard Skynyrd guitarist Ed King, and more artists, some of the omitted figures included Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul, Buzzcocks frontman Pete Shelley, Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison, and more.

Some of the notable metal names omitted from the tribute segments in previous years include Slayer‘s Jeff Hanneman, Peter Steele of Type O Negative, Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, and more.

Our deeply regrets!
