Slash was interviewed earlier this week on The Rock FM radio station in New Zealand. You can now listen to the chat at this location.

“World On Fire”, the third album to be made available under the Slash solo banner, will be released on September 15 via Slash‘s own label Dik Hayd International distributed through Roadrunner Records (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America). A total of 17 songs, including one instrumental, were laid down for the follow-up to 2012’s “Apocalyptic Love” with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (ALTER BRIDGEFALLING IN REVERSEINCUBUS).

Slash is currently on the road with AEROSMITH and is scheduled to perform on Tuesday (August 19) in Denver. The tour resumed over the weekend after two shows were canceled due to AEROSMITH drummer Joey Kramer falling ill.

As previously reported, Slash has composed an original score for Clowns 3D, a new maze that will be featured as part of Universal Studios Hollywood‘s annual “Halloween Horror Nights” attraction. The maze and score will premiere on September 19 and run through the Halloween season.

Slash released his first self-titled solo effort in 2010.

The legendary guitarist employed a different vocalist on each track of his first album, before settling on ALTER BRIDGE member Kennedy for both touring and eventually recording.

“Apocalyptic Love” earned Slash his two first-ever No. 1 U.S. rock radio hits with “You’re A Lie” and “Standing In The Sun”. The record’s third single, “Anastasia”, cracked the Top 10 at both Modern and Active Rock.
