TeamRock has uploaded video footage of SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor and percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan talking about the band’s appearance at this year’s Soundwave festival in Australia. You can watch the clip below.

Said Taylor: “Being a headliner, a lot of bands might take that for granted, especially a band in our situation, but we’d never take it for granted. I mean, there have been times where it felt like we were at the top of our game and we’d come down and we’ve been, like, direct support. You kind of have to keep earning it, so when you get that spot, you never take it for granted — you go for it with everything you’ve got, and you try to make sure that you show that audience why you’re headlining and why you’re there and why it’s so special to us. It’s a gift. The second you stop thinking of this as a gift, that’s when they take it away.”

SLIPKNOT has released a live video for song “Custer”, shot at last year’s Knotfest in Devore, California.

“Custer” is the latest single from “.5: The Gray Chapter”, which came out in October.

SLIPKNOT recently unveiled the details of a massive summer headlining tour dubbed “Summer’s Last Stand”. The trek kicks off on July 24 in West Palm Beach, Florida, wrapping up six weeks later on September 5 in Dallas.

The summer jaunt follows a brief spring run that SLIPKNOT will launch on April 25 in Fort Myers, Florida, ending on May 16 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

“.5: The Gray Chapter” sold around 132,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart.
