The Shiva Hypothesis – Promo 2015

TSH-Promo2015  I’m no stranger to black metal in any sort of way, and I’m familiar with atmospheric black metal more than any other kind of black metal so I felt right at home listening to The Shiva Hypothesis’ debut album of that same genre that is just simply titled “Promo 2015”. There isn’t a whole lot of actual atmospheric to go with that “atmospheric black metal”, but it’s still definitely there it’s just in smaller quantities that add a little effect to the point where The Shiva Hypothesis seem to just let the actual black metal do the talking and provide the real entertainment. And speaking of which, let me just say that this isn’t the best black metal that I’ve heard before in my days but these guys have definitely started down the path of being a proper band of their genre as this is raw, intense, and just holds nothing back as is expected of black metal and I can happily say that The Shiva Hypothesis didn’t disappoint me in the least because it kept me interested and listening which is always a great thing. I feel like something is missing, although I can’t quite put my finger on what it is whether it be faster guitars or a more spine chilling sound, I’m not really sure, but that doesn’t mean this is a bad album because of all the things this album is bad is not one of them. I expect good things from these fine lads, and by that I mean I would absolutely love a proper full length sometime soon but I’d want them to really take their time and work on it because I know that they can create something that’ll definitely turn some heads. And my head has already turned so I suggest you check The Shiva Hypothesis out as well if you would like to have your attention drawn to something promising.
