TIGER KING Star ERIK COWIE: ‘I F*cking Hate MÖTLEY CRÜE’

Erik Cowie Vince Neil

Joel McHale recently hosted the special episode where he talked to the main characters of Netflix’s phenomenon Tiger King and roasted MÖTLEY CRÜE with one of the more lovable figures.

McHale’s first catch-up interview was with Joe Exotic’s head zookeeper Erik Cowie, who became beloved by Tiger King fans for his incredible devotion to big cats.

“This is a very serious question, Eric,” McHale noted. “You’re being compared to Vince Neil. Are you flattered by that?”

Cowie responded: “Oh god, I f*cking hate MÖTLEY CRÜE. They’ve never been my thing, no. It was too plastic, man. I’m sorry.”

Then McHale added: “Well obviously, you’ve also got a much lower body fat percentage than Vince Neil does right now. Vince probably will come after me. It’ll be a slow walk to come get me.”

MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee told Billboard in an April 1 interview that their “The Stadium Tour” with DEF LEPPARDPOISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS is still going according to the plan, even though most other events have been canceled or postponed due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“Everything’s still a go,” Lee said. “We’re all in constant communication. Nikki [Sixx] and I have been in several production meetings. You’re talking multiple stadiums, so it’s like two kids in a candy store putting together something people are going to walk [away from] saying, ‘Are you f*cking kidding me?!’ That’s our mission right now, and it’s definitely headed in that direction.”

Tickets for the tour are available here.
