Post Malone

Post Malone was joined by GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist Slash and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith during his performance on Thursday (December 31) as part of “Bud Light Seltzer Sessions Presents: New Years Eve 2021” Facebook livestream.

Malone performed a cover of ALICE IN CHAINS‘ “Rooster” with Smith, guitarist/producer Andrew Watt and bassist Chris Chaney, and then he performed BLACK SABBATH‘s classic “War Pigs” with the help Slash and the aforementioned trio.

During a live video chat between MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson in June, 2020, and his business partner Thom Hazaert, Rapper Post Malone made a surprise guest appearance.

When asked to name his favorite metal bands, Post Malone replied: “I’d say y’all. I mean, MEGADETH has gotta be the best for me. I love MEGADETH, I love METALLICA… I love… F*ck, man. So much sh*t… I love PANTERA.

“I got to meet Phil [Anselmo] backstage at a show, and he’s a cool-ass dude, and he talks like this [adopts a deep voice]. I’m, like, dude, it’s gotta hurt to talk [like that], but he’s still f*cking got it.”

Ellefson, recently released cover of Post Malone track “Over Now,” which is taken from bassist’s yet-untitled album, tentatively due in October.
