Yesterday, GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist Slash shared the sad news of his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight‘s passing on Instagram.
The 25-year-old’s death was met with an additional layer of shock for fans due to a cryptic message she had apparently scheduled to be posted after her passing.
On Instagram, Slash shared the heartbreaking news, stating: ‘Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.
‘Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.
‘The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.’
Before her passing, Lucy-Bleu scheduled an alarming farewell on Instagram, posting a tragic note along with a selfie just three hours before the news of her death was announced.
She wrote: “Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity – I am sorry.
“Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.”
Lucy-Bleu was born in 1998 to Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight.
Slash and Meegan Hodges initially dated in 1989 when Meegan was roommates with Erin Everly, who was married to Axl Rose of GUNS N’ ROSES.
Slash and Meegan rekindled their relationship in 2015 and have been together since.
