Following massive demand for their previously announced return to Los Angeles, SLAYER have added a second show at the Kia Forum as part of their Reign In Blood 40th-anniversary celebrations. The original November 13, 2026 date quickly sold out during the Citi and artist presales, prompting the band to schedule an additional performance on November 14, 2026. General on-sale for the newly added show begins Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m. PDT.
Both Los Angeles dates — now set for November 13 and November 14 — will feature Reign In Blood performed in full, marking the only U.S. headlining shows where fans can experience the landmark record front to back. These concerts will also represent SLAYER’s first appearances in Los Angeles in seven years, further adding to the significance of the events.
The expanded Los Angeles run now joins the previously announced September 04 show in Shakopee, Minnesota at Mystic Lake Amphitheater. While festival appearances throughout the year will feature varied setlists, these select headlining dates remain the only ones centered around a full-album performance of Reign In Blood.
Support for the Los Angeles shows will come from CANNIBAL CORPSE, CAVALERA and CROWBAR, while the Minnesota date will feature DOWN, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES and HATEBREED.
SLAYER originally concluded their farewell tour in November 2019, seemingly closing the chapter on their storied career. However, the band made a surprise return in 2024, opting for a limited number of high-profile appearances rather than a full-scale comeback. Since then, they’ve performed at major events across North America and Europe, including a notable East Coast stop at Hersheypark Stadium and festival appearances like Louder Than Life.
They also paid tribute to heavy metal pioneers BLACK SABBATH by performing a six-song set at the band’s sold-out “Back To The Beginning” final concert on July 5, 2025, held at Villa Park in Birmingham, England — further cementing their legacy among metal’s elite.
The lineup for all of SLAYER’s comeback shows in 2024 and 2025 has remained consistent with their final 2019 tour, featuring Kerry King and Paul Bostaph alongside Tom Araya and Gary Holt.
Released on October 7, 1986 through Def Jam Recordings, Reign In Blood marked SLAYER’s first collaboration with renowned producer Rick Rubin, whose influence played a key role in shaping the band’s sound. The album has since been widely regarded as a defining moment in extreme metal, with Kerrang! famously calling it “the heaviest album of all time,” as well as a breakthrough for both thrash and speed metal.
Reign In Blood also became SLAYER’s first release to chart on the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 94. The album was later certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on November 20, 1992, recognizing sales of over 500,000 copies in the United States.
