SLAYER Performs At 2025 Louder Than Life Festival (Video)

Slayer Louder Than Life 2025

Thrash metal legends SLAYER delivered a ferocious performance last night (Thursday, September 18) at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky. This show marked the band’s fourth full concert of 2025, following appearances at Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields (35,000 capacity), London’s Finsbury Park (45,000 capacity), and Canada’s Festival D’été De Québec (100,000 capacity).

Earlier this year, SLAYER also paid tribute to BLACK SABBATH’s storied career, performing a six-song set at SABBATH’s sold-out “Back To The Beginning” farewell show on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.

SLAYER was originally slated to play Louder Than Life in 2024, but that performance was canceled due to severe weather.

The lineup for the 2024–2025 comeback tour remains the same as the band’s 2019 roster: guitarist Kerry King, drummer Paul Bostaph, bassist/vocalist Tom Araya, and guitarist Gary Holt.

According to Setlist.fm, SLAYER’s Louder Than Life performance included:

01. South Of Heaven

SLAYER’s only U.S. East Coast stop of 2025 will take place this Saturday, September 20, at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania (30,000 capacity). The concert will be hosted by WWE superstar Damian Priest, a lifelong SLAYER fan whose signature finisher is set to the band’s “South Of Heaven.” Kerry King even contributed guitar to Priest’s theme song, “Rise For The Night.”

Joining SLAYER at the Hershey show will be KNOCKED LOOSE, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, POWER TRIP, CAVALERA (performing SEPULTURA’s Chaos A.D. album in full), and EXODUS (performing Bonded By Blood in its entirety).
