The legendary thrash metal band SLAYER is reportedly preparing to make a triumphant return to Mexico, their first performance in the country in seven years.
Reputable Mexican webzine Summa Inferno fueled speculation this week by teasing SLAYER’s return with a cryptic post on their official Facebook page. The post featured the SLAYER logo accompanied by the ominous caption: “Let’s make it rain blood. One. Time. Again.”
Though the band has yet to officially confirm a Mexico date, this tease has sparked excitement and speculation among fans. If the rumors are true, it will mark SLAYER‘s long-awaited return to Mexico since their last performance there in 2018.
This news comes after SLAYER’s shocking reunion announcement in 2024. The band had declared their retirement from live performances in 2019 following their so-called “final” tour. However, they surprised the metal world by reuniting last year for two live shows and later confirming plans for additional performances in 2025.
Their confirmed 2025 concert dates are as follows:
- July 03, 2025 – Cardiff, UK – Blackweir Fields (with AMON AMARTH, ANTHRAX, MASTODON, HATEBREED, and NECKBREAKKER)
- July 05, 2025 – Birmingham, UK – Villa Park
- July 06, 2025 – London, UK – Finsbury Park (with AMON AMARTH, ANTHRAX, MASTODON, HATEBREED, and NECKBREAKKER)
- July 11, 2025 – Québec City, QC – Festival d’été de Québec
- September 18, 2025 – Louisville, KY – Louder Than Life @ Highland Festival Grounds
- September 20, 2025 – Hershey, PA – Hersheypark Stadium (with KNOCKED LOOSE, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, POWER TRIP, CAVALERA, and EXODUS)
